Social Listening-Ritz

Image
I decided to use Ritz as the brand that I will be writing about. I chose Ritz because they have a strong social media presence and I also enjoy their crackers. There seems to be a pretty positive reception to Ritz's social media posts and I have mostly seen kind words. Overall, Ritz is a well-liked company and they do a good job of using social media to promote their brand.           Ritz has attempted to distinguish themselves from the other cracker brands by offering a "More for the same" value proposition. Ritz crackers have introduced versatility into their crackers and the different types of them that they offer. Ritz is also using social media to interact with their customers and bring them new recipes to use Ritz in.           Browsing through Ritz's social media was interesting because they have a lot of followers but not a lot of interactions with their posts. However this doesn't seem exclusive to Ritz as a brand because they are still getting

Marketing in the News -Chevy

While I was looking for an article that would be interesting to me I found an article titled, "No bids on Chevy's first NFT, even though it came with a free Corvette Z06." I don't know a ton about NFTs but this was still the first time I had seen a major brand incorporate NFTs into one of their products. I thought this was interesting as it seems that Chevrolet is trying to gain more traction with a younger, more tech savvy audience.                    Chevrolet partnered up with DonorsChoose, an educational charity organization to hold an auction bidding for Chevrolet's first NFT. The person who bid the highest on this NFT would also receive Chevrolet's new Corvette Z06 in a "minted green" color, the only one of its kind. Chevrolet only accepted bids in Ethereum with the starting bid at 236 ETH, or around $238,000. The auction was a complete bust, it was open for 4 days and received zero bids. The host of the auction, SuperRare, re

About Me

Hello! My name is Charlie Hill, I am 20 years old and grew up in Tigard, OR. This is my 4th term at LBCC and I am majoring in Business with a focus on finance. I am really interested in learning about marketing because of the advertisements that I see everywhere. Almost always I think that the ads I see won't bring in anyone because they might be too boring or just weird and yet they always show up so I'm wondering how many sales they generally create. Something that I love outside of college is soccer, I have been playing soccer since I was 7 and only quit playing competitively a couple of years ago. While I love to play soccer, I can't stand watching it so I don't keep up with it anymore. Another thing that I love to do, that isn't watching Netflix all day, is going hiking. There are a ton of hiking trails in Oregon and all of them are breathtaking!
